A Few Helpful Notes
Come to your session photo-ready! Please have your personal styling - hair, makeup, nails, etc. - the way you’d like it before your sessions begins. Bring your own makeup for any touch-ups. Mirrors will be provided.
Most important….Be yourself and have fun! These photos are all about capturing this exciting moment and letting your personality shine.

Appointments are scheduled by major/studio and last name.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled session to get ready. You will receive an email reminder a couple of days prior. Please check your spam folder for any messages!

Poses: All seniors will take two different style photos
Graduation Pose - Cap & Gown
It’s time to celebrate - you’re graduating!
Everyone will be photographed in a red cap & gown (provided!).
You can wear your own clothes underneath your gown. Keep in mind that the collar of whatever your wear underneath may be visible in the photo. The graduation cap will be used as a prop to hold rather than worn on your head.
Formal Pose - Black Button-Down Shirt, Tux, or Drape
For your formal portrait, the choice is yours! This will be used for the yearbook.
You may choose to wear one of these three looks:
Black Button-Down Shirt - bring your own / or use one of Cool for School Photo’s shirts
If you have your own black button-down shirt, we encourage you to wear it. Your own shirt is more likely to fit you just right.
We’ll have a variety of sizes available for you to choose from if you want to use one of Cool for School Photo’s shirts.
Tuxedo Look - bring your own!
Please bring your own tuxedo shirt, bow tie, and tuxedo jacket if you’re choosing the tuxedo look.
Black velvet drape - provided
Cool for School Photo will provide black drapes should you go for this look. Please wear a strapless top, camisole, or something that allows your shoulders to be easily shown underneath the drape.
Optional: Casual Pose
If time allows, you may take a casual pose. This photo will be taken after your formal and graduation pictures. Please let your photographer know before your session that you’ll like to do a casual pose. Want to rock your favorite outfit, strike your signature pose, or bring a little something extra? Go for it! Want to bring a prop? Absolutely! Think musical instrument, sports gear, favorite book, anything that shows off your personality.

How to View your Photos and Select your Yearbook Picture
About two weeks after Photo Day you will receive an email from Cool for School with a direct link to your private photo gallery. There you may select your favorites and purchase any prints or digital files. You will also be able to select your yearbook photo (no purchase necessary).
